Since Calvin and Eva got engaged at an overlook, it was perfect for part of their session to feature the rolling dusty blue ranges of our Virginia mountains. These two only had to look at each other to break out in laughter so most of our session was full of ear to ear smiles on both sides of the camera. Calvin did his own research on poses as we made our way north so at every spot he had the best ideas which you’ll see below (believe me you don’t want to miss them).

Photographing engagement sessions for friends is such a fun way to celebrate with them. Nehemiah and I have been friends with Calvin and Eva for a while (Nemo and Calvin since they were kids and me and Eva the past year). We joked about how 7 years ago, when Nehemiah and I first crossed paths, it was Calvin who teased him about me and vise versa with him and Eva. To watch us so many years later driving through the Blue Ridge parkway as two couples to photograph their engagement session felt like a full circle moment.
